At the rear, the headlights have been redesigned and have a horizontal stripe joining them, in addition to the European premiere of the Volkswagen logo illuminated in the center
The German brand also revealed that it improved the suspension of the renewed Touareg and equipped the SUV with a new roof load sensor that is interconnected with the electronics and that if a load is detected on the roof, it allows the control system such as the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) to intervene earlier to increase driving stability.
Depending on the version, the Touareg is available with the active rolling compensation system (adaptive running gear) as well as four-wheel steering.
The Volkswagen SUV is equipped with light-alloy wheels that can be from 19 to 21 inches, and in the case of the R-eHybrid version they can be 22 inches.
Inside, the standard equipment includes the 12-inch Innovision Cockpit, Discover Pro Max infotainment system, with a 15-inch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, multifunction leather steering wheel, improved voice control, among other functions.
As far as the powertrain is concerned, the renewed Volkswagen Touareg will hit the market with five engines, all equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive system.
At the base of the offer is the V6 turbo TSI with 340 hp and 450 Nm of maximum torque, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
